Decolonizing Desire with Jet Setting Jasmine and King Noire

“Decolonizing Desire” is a workshop by Jet Setting Jasmine and King Noire that challenges colonial narratives shaping our understanding of desire and pleasure. Participants will explore historical and cultural influences on sexual norms and learn to redefine desire on their own terms. Through interactive discussions and reflective exercises, the workshop promotes creating spaces where desires are guided by self-defined standards, fostering empowerment and authentic expression.

About This Project

"Unveiling Desires'' explores BIPOC fetishistic desires using a unique dataset from voluntary fetish surveys collected over the past decade. This study provides insights into a sexually suppressed & underrepresented demographic. Key findings highlight the complexity of BIPOC sexual desires & the reclaiming of sexual autonomy. The fortuitous collection of this data offers an invaluable opportunity to advance sex education and discourse.
